The patterns within dendritic agate are naturally occurring..
First, water seeps into the earth's cracks and crevices, carrying oxides and minerals with it. Slowly, over millions of years, a crystal lattice forms inside the crystal structure. The water evaporates, leaving behind black and brown oxides or manganese, giving the agate stone its tree like patterns.
